The main challenge was to translate the abstract and complex effects of social media into a tangible and engaging physical experience. We needed to create a visual metaphor that was powerful enough to communicate our message without being overly simplistic. A core part of this challenge was designing a multi-layered experience that included a physical installation, a recorded performance, and a direct interactive element for the audience.

The process began with our group collectively exploring the themes of social media and its psychological impact. We worked together to collect hundreds of images from various platforms to build the physical set. We designed a custom jacket, and then filmed a performance that would serve as the central visual narrative. The performance was then recorded and projected over the installation, allowing the audience to engage with the art in a multi-sensory way.

It was a pivotal experience in understanding how to blend physical and digital media to create an immersive and thought-provoking experience. The project provided me with invaluable experience in collaborative creative problem solving and in translating complex ideas into a compelling visual metaphor. Working within a multidisciplinary team to materialize a shared vision was particularly rewarding, as it underscored the importance of my role in bringing our collective concept to life.
