(Project description)

Converz Analytics is a call center upskilling application that leverages modern advancements in LLM technology to train, monitor, and coach call center representatives. I was brought on to completely revamp their existing dashboarding interface. The goal was to make it more informative, usable, and, most importantly, to instill a sense of trust into the product. The existing interface felt cold, complex, and hard to use, so the redesign focused on making analysis less complex and telling a clearer story through data. The new dashboard features inviting components and an updated visual hierarchy to make complex KPIs digestible for all users.

(Design challenge)

(Design challenge)

The main objective was to create a dashboard system capable of displaying dense amounts of historic performance data at a variety of scales. The entire process was about finding a way to communicate the meaning of a representative's performance in two distinct ways. The interface needed to provide constructive feedback for the representatives to help them improve, while also providing factual, objective performance reports for their managers. The challenge was to balance the needs of these two audiences, making sure the interfaces felt both encouraging and authoritative.

(The process)

(The process)

The process began with a thorough product audit of the existing dashboard to identify key usability issues. This was followed by countless meetings with key stakeholders, including the CEO and lead front-end developer, to ensure a shared vision for the redesign. To address the challenge of displaying complex data, I worked with data visualization libraries to find the most effective ways to display KPI information in an intuitive manner. The interfaces were constantly in flux as I worked through a rapid, iterative process based on continuous feedback, allowing the product to evolve in real-time.

(Key takeaways)

(Key takeaways)

This project was my first experience designing enterprise-level software that was actively being used by thousands of users and companies like KPN. It was an incredible opportunity to apply my design skills to a data heavy application, providing valuable experience in translating complex information into a simple and intuitive user experience. The project was particularly rewarding due to the fact that it focused on a human centered approach to data analysis, ensuring the product was not just a tool to display numbers but built for those using it.
