(Project description)
What would it be like to see the world from the eyes of a skateboarder? Discover the city of Vladivostok, in ways that you never thought you would get to know a city by. As a kid, my friends and I would use Google Maps just like this, to spot places to skate in the city. We would give the places we found names instead of using the place's actual name because we didn't even know them. Everything on this website is made to reflect that feeling of being a kid again and finding places to skate…

(Design challenge)
The main challenge was to translate a personal and emotional experience into a digital platform. I needed to find a way to make a user's journey through a website feel like a genuine exploration and discovery, rather than a simple navigation experience. The goal was to create a sense of nostalgia and to communicate a unique perspective on a city without relying on traditional travel guides.

(The process)
(The process)
The process began with an exploration of Google Maps, just as I had done as a kid. From there, I began to build a visual narrative of the city of Vladivostok, capturing a sense of discovery and personal history. My goal was to make the experience feel authentic and personal, creating a tool for exploration that was both intuitive and emotionally resonant.

(Key takeaways)
This project was a deeply personal endeavor that explored the intersection of memory and digital design. It provided invaluable experience in translating an abstract feeling and a specific perspective into a tangible and interactive web experience.
